On August 2, Guangzhou Yunku Intelligent Equipment Co., Ltd. conducted a fire extinguishing test on a 72V50Ah large-scale ternary lithium battery. The test results were encouraging. The battery replacement cabinet successfully extinguished the fire, and the items in the adjacent battery compartment were not affected. This demonstrated the excellent fire extinguishing performance of the battery swapping cabinet and highlighted the safety and advancement of the battery swapping cabinet fire extinguishing technology.
This test used a 10-compartment battery swap cabinet. The staff fixed temperature detectors in each of the eight battery compartments, recording temperature changes every two seconds. In the battery compartment adjacent to the test compartment, paper towels were placed to test the impact of the fire on the surrounding environment. Before the test began, all compartment doors were closed.
The staff began to heat the batteries in the No. 7 warehouse. After 5 minutes, smoke slowly emerged from the warehouse, triggering the fire extinguisher to start. No open flames appeared during the whole process, and the fire was successfully extinguished.
After the test, it was found that the paper towels in the adjacent compartments of the test compartment were not damaged, indicating that the swap cabinet not only successfully extinguished the fire, but also effectively prevented the fire from spreading to the surrounding environment, effectively protecting the safety of the power swap cabinet.
